| If you face south and you can see the Orion then you can find this hexagon |
In the night sky, the most attractive constellation is Orion. Orion can be seen mostly from January to March which is winter in the northern hemisphere. You may know that Sirius is the brightest star we can see in the night sky.
So, from January to march if you stand facing south at night. first, find the Orion and the Sirius and make your vision wider. You will be able to make a hexagon by connecting bright stars. this hexagon is called the winter hexagon.
The names of the stars are as follows. Sirius, the brightest star, Rigel from the constellation of Orion, Aldebaran from the constellation of Taurus, Capella from the constellation of Auriga, Pollux from the constellation of Gemini and last Procyon star from the constellation of Canis Minor.
As this hexagon is visible only in winter, it is called "a winter hexagon". If this is winter and the sky is clear, you can defiantly see it and if you can see it, this is winter.
